Formerly known as theScreen Actors Guild Awards, the March 1 ceremony had fun off-camera moments such as "One Battle After the Other" starTeyana Taylorholding court with her 5-year-old daughter, Rue, on the red carpet andDemi Moorenavigating a delicate fashion choice.

But the Actor Awards also took on a somber note as Hollywood mourned the recent loss of one of their own:Catherine O'Hara, who wasawarded a posthumous trophythat was accepted by an uncharacteristically forlornSeth Rogen.

Here are the moments we caught that weren't shown on Netflix's live broadcast.

Rue Rose Shumpert charms as mom Teyana Taylor breaks out dance moves

The Actor Awards not only had a new name and streaming home, but also an added flair of fanfare for the nominees walking the carpet. As stars made their way to the pre-ceremony reception, they passed by a seated area filled with social media influencers who hyped them up with cheers and shouted compliments.

After spotting the gaggle of admirers, Teyana Taylor put on a show, dancing as she led Rue over to the spectators. Her youngest daughter popped in and out of Taylor's interviews with the microphone-toting set of social media creators, at one point wandering across the carpet to the press line and admiringHaley Kalil's elaborate nails.

Fran Drescher, Sheryl Lee Ralph bathe in red carpet fanfare

Some of the actors, like Taylor, hammed it up for the raucous influencer crowd. "Marty Supreme" actress Fran Drescher, dressed to the nines in a top hat and feathery pink stole, posed for iPhone cameras like it was the step-and-repeat.

"Abbott Elementary" leading ladies Janelle James and Sheryl Lee Ralph also happily moseyed over to mingle with the gallery of influencers while actress and singer Sofia Carson blew them copious air kisses.

Demi Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow and Emma Stone were more coy as they offered waves while speeding along the carpet. Sterling K. Brown smile shyly at the ground as a group congratulated him on "Paradise" Season 2.

Emotional Seth Rogen turns to the late Catherine O'Hara's friends

Seth Rogen was visibly down as he commiserated with Catherine O'Hara's "Best in Show" costar Parker Posey after accepting O'Hara's posthumous award.

Rogen had"the very sad honor" of acceptingO'Hara's posthumous best female actor in a comedy series trophy for "The Studio." Unusually serious, Rogen gave a touching speech honoring O'Hara. Afterwards, "The Studio" honcho somberly made a beeline to O'Hara's "Best in Show" costar Parker Posey and gave the actress a long embrace.

Following their intense conversation, Rogen returned to his Apple TV show's table and, looking forlorn, kept to himself for a while.

How did Demi Moore sit with that massive tulle train?

Demi Moore's Schiaparelli dress was quite the party in the back.

The consummate professional, Demi Moore was not held back by her overflowing gown – a black Schiaparelli column gown with a massive, black-speckled white tulle tail affixed to the back. Once she'd made her way through the red carpet, Moore worked the ballroom, making a beeline to Netflix boss Ted Sarandos for hugs and hellos.

After exchanging greetings with Billy Bob Thornton and her other "Landman" costars, Moore faced the daunting task of fitting herself on a seat. She expertly accomplished this by gingerly lowering herself onto the chair that was turned sideways, allowing room for her poufy train.

'Sinners' wins big! See Michael B. Jordan make history at 2026 Actor Awards

"Sinners" won the top prize, best ensemble in a motion picture, and best actor forstar Michael B. Jordanat theActor Awards. Revisit the excitement the cast felt at tonight's Actor Awards.

"Sinners" was the Actor Awards big winner, with Michael B. Jordan shocking with a best actor win and the cast winning the top prize, best ensemble. Jordan was late arriving at the official after party, where he was besieged by fans and well-wishers. He stood with a big grin at a private table with both Actor Awards parked in front of him.

After 20 minutes, his security led what could best be described as a star extraction from the event. As Jordan stood outside awaiting his limousine, predominantly female fans several floors above him in the University of Southern California parking structure started screaming.

It was so protracted that waiting "Hacks" star Jean Smart compared it to seeing the Beatles live in concert. "Boys don't scream; girls do. Why is that?" Smart wondered.

APTOPIX Emirates Iran US Israel

As the American and Israeli airstrikes kept hitting the country, top Iranian security official Ali Larijani said on X: "We will not negotiate with the United States."

Trump, who a day earlier had encouraged Iranians to "take over" their government, signaled Sunday that he was open to dialogue with Iran's new leadership.

Meanwhile, Iran's foreign minister suggested earlier that military units were acting independently from any central government control after being pressed about attacks on Gulf Arab nations that have served as intermediaries for Tehran in the past.

More than 200 people have been killed since the start of the strikes thatkilledIran's Supreme LeaderAyatollah Ali Khameneiand other senior leaders, Iranian leaders have said.

Here is the latest:

Lebanese government holds emergency meeting

Lebanon's government is holding an emergency meeting after Hezbollah's attack on Israel triggered Israeli airstrikes in different parts of the country.

The meeting started Monday morning and is being attended by the army chief, Gen. Rudolph Haikal.

The state-run National News Agency reported that the Cabinet will discuss the volatile situation and the measures it plans to take.

Smoke seen over Kuwaiti neighborhood home to the US Embassy

A witness said he saw smoke over a Kuwait neighborhood home to the U.S. Embassy as Americans had been urged to stay away.

Ayman Moawad, an Egyptian worker living near the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait, told The Associated Press that he saw smoke over the area.

However, he didn't know if it was specifically the embassy hit in an ongoing Iranian attack targeting the small Mideast nation.

The U.S. earlier issued an urgent warning to Americans there to take cover and remain indoors.

It said: "Do not come to the Embassy," without elaborating.

Strike hits Iranian state TV, witnesses say

Strikes across Iran continued into Monday, with one apparently taking Iranian state television off air.

Witnesses said an attack in northern Tehran's Niavaran neighborhood struck one of the transmitters used for Iranian state TV.

Since then, its satellite signals have dropped.

State media had said hospitals and residential areas had been hit in strikes by the Americans and Israelis.

Iran has not offered any details on its materiel losses.

UAE closes stock exchanges

The United Arab Emirates is shutting the country's main stock exchanges for the start of the trading week as the regional war intensifies.

The country's Capital Market Authority said the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange and Dubai Financial Market would be closed Monday and Tuesday.

It says it will closely monitor the regional situation and take any further steps as necessary.

Another market, the Nasdaq Dubai, also said it was halting trading both days.

Dubai is the Gulf's main business hub, though the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi is also an important regional financial center and home to some of the world's biggest sovereign wealth funds.

The benchmark index for the Saudi Exchange, the region's largest stock market, fell 2.2 percent on Sunday.

US issues urgent warning to Americans in Kuwait

As Kuwait faced an ongoing attack, the U.S. issued an urgent warning to Americans there to take cover and remain indoors.

It said: "Do not come to the Embassy," without elaborating.

The Health Ministry said that the strikes also wounded 149 people.

It said about two thirds of the dead were in southern Lebanon.

Cyprus president says drone caused 'minor material damage'

Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides said a Shaheed-type drone caused "minor material damage" to military installations inside the U.K.'s RAF Akrotiri air base on the island's southern coast.

Christodoulides said in a brief national address that the drone struck just past midnight Monday.

He said all relevant authorities have been put on alert and that he has called a meeting of the country's national security council to take stock of the situation.

He added that he's in contact with other European leaders.

"I want to be clear: our homeland is not participating in any way, nor is its intention to take part in any military operation," Christodoulides said in his address.

He said Cyprus remains focused on the humanitarian role that it plays in the region and that it seeks to be "part of the solution and not the problem," adding that his primary concern remains the safety and security of the country and its people.

Airstrikes reported in Iran

Overnight, airstrikes were reported across Iran.

Elsewhere, explosions were heard in Dubai on Monday.

In Bahrain, the Interior Ministry said sirens sounded across the country as it urged residents to "head to the nearest safe place."

And in Kuwait, authorities said debris fell on its Ahmadi oil refinery, slightly injuring two workers there.

The state-run KUNA news agency said earlier that Kuwait's forces had thwarted a drone attack early Monday.

Top Iranian security official says Iran 'will not negotiate' with US

A top Iranian security official on Monday said: "We will not negotiate with the United States."

Ali Larijani made the statement on X, responding to a report from Qatar's Al Jazeera news network.

The comment comes as an American and Israeli airstrike campaign continues to target Iran.

Iran and its militia allies have expanded their attacks over the killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Pentagon to brief media on Iran strikes

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Gen. Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, are planning to hold a press conference Monday morning about the military operation against Iran.

The Pentagon announced the 8 a.m. EST media briefing on social media Sunday night.

On Tuesday, Hegseth and Caine will join U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA Director John Ratcliffe in briefing the full membership of Congress on the strikes, the White House said.

Rubio also was slated to brief Hill leadership Monday.

Hezbollah attacks on Israel 'expose our country to risks,' Lebanon's president says

In a statement Monday, President Joseph Aoun said Hezbollah's rocket launches from Lebanon "target all the efforts and endeavors exerted by the Lebanese state to keep Lebanon away from the dangerous military confrontations taking place in the region."

He added that while Israeli strikes on Lebanon are condemned, "persisting in using Lebanon once again as a platform for proxy wars in which we have no involvement will expose our country to risks once more."

Cyprus says drone that hit British military base caused 'limited damage'

Cyprus' government spokesperson said an "incident" that happened at a British air base on the island nation's southern coastline involved an "unmanned drone which caused limited damage."

Spokesperson Constantinos Letymbiotis said the incident at RAF Akrotiri occurred shortly after midnight Monday.

He said "information received through various channels" indicated a drone strike.

He didn't specify what kind of drone, where it was launched from or the extent of damage.

Letymbiotis said Cypriot authorities have enacted security protocols and are monitoring the situation in coordination with the U.K. and its two military bases in Cyprus.

The suspected drone strike occurred after British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the U.K. would help the U.S. in the war against Iran.

Factbox-US uses Anthropic AI, B-2 bombers and suicide drones in Iran strikes

March 1 (Reuters) - The United States unleashed an array of weaponry against Iranian targets on Saturday, including Tomahawk cruise missiles, stealth fighters, and for the first time in combat, low-cost one-way attack drones modeled after Iranian designs.

Reuters

U.S. Central Command released photographs showing Tomahawk missiles, F-18 and F-35 ‌fighter jets alongside details of the strikes on Iran as part of Operation Epic Fury.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

The Pentagon used artificial intelligence services from Anthropic, including its ‌Claude tools, during its attack on Iran, according to a source familiar with the situation.

The operation came a day after the U.S. declared Anthropic a supply chain risk, implying it is a threat to national security. President Donald Trump on Friday also directed the government to stop working with the start-up.

Reuters could not determine how the tools were used in the war effort. The Pentagon and Anthropic did not immediately return a request for comment.

Anthropic's AI has been in use across the intelligence community and armed services, and it was first among peer AI companies to work with classified information, through a supply deal via cloud provider Amazon.

As the Pentagon intensified its bombings of Iran's military, it deployed B-2 stealth bombers from the U.S. to strike ‌at hardened, underground Iranian missile facilities with 2,000-pound bombs.

The B-2, a $2-billion flying wing built by Northrop Grumman, played a key role in delivering strikes on Iran's nuclear sites last June. With a 172-foot (52.4 m) wingspan and stealth profile, the B-2 can fly 6,000 nautical miles without refueling, but most missions require multiple mid-air refuelings.

The U.S. military said it used suicide drones that appear identical, based on photos released by the Pentagon, to the new LUCAS (Low-Cost Unmanned Combat Attack System) manufactured by Phoenix, Arizona-based Spektreworks. The company did not respond to requests for comment.

In a first, CENTCOM used one-way attack drones modeled after Iran's Shahed drones, the Pentagon said.

Kamikaze drones are inexpensive and are meant to be produced by several manufacturers, the Pentagon has said.

The price of the LUCAS is around $35,000. Drones have become an increasingly important part of warfare as Russia's invasion of Ukraine ‌has pushed U.S. and other countries towards a new strategy known as "affordable mass" - having plenty of relatively cheap weapons at the ready.

The U.S. also used much more expensive MQ-9 Reaper drones and counter-drone systems.

The Tomahawk Land Attack Missile is a long-range cruise missile typically launched from sea to attack targets in deep-strike missions. The precision-guided Tomahawk cruise missile can strike targets from 1,000 miles (1,600 km) away, even in heavily defended airspace. The missile measures 20 feet (6.1 meters) long with an 8.5-foot wingspan and weighs about 3,330 pounds (1,510 kg).

RTX's Raytheon unit makes the Tomahawk missile - which are not nuclear-armed - which can be launched from land or sea. According to Pentagon budget data, the U.S. plans ‌to buy 57 such missiles in 2026. They have an average cost of $1.3 million each. There is also an ongoing effort to spend millions to modify and upgrade the weapons including the guidance systems.

A recent agreement between Raytheon and the Pentagon aims to increase production of Tomahawk cruise missiles eventually to 1,000 units annually.

U.S. and allied militaries have flight-tested the GPS-enabled Tomahawk and used it in an ‌operational environment including when the U.S. and UK Navies launched Tomahawk missiles at Houthi rebel sites in Yemen.

FIGHTER JETS

U.S. Central Command released photographs and video footage showing F/A-18 and F-35 fighter jets being used in the strikes on Iran.

The F-35 is a fifth-generation stealth fighter capable of evading radar detection and carrying precision-guided munitions. The United States has deployed F-35s extensively across the Middle East. The F-18, made by Boeing, is a multi-role fighter that can conduct both air-to-air and air-to-ground ‌missions, carrying a variety of bombs and missiles.

The F-35s can carry a wide array of missiles such as those which can seek out and destroy radar installations to blind the enemy. The jets are also in use by the Israeli Air Force.
